的 研究基金会 provides a benefited employee with Group (Term) 人寿保险 and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) 保险, both administered by MetLife and offered at the foundation’s own cost.

• 的 employee’s beneficiary is eligible to receive 一个 (1) times the employee’s gross annual salary rounded to the nearest thousand, to a maximum of $250,000.
• 在广告下&D benefit, an employee receives specified benefits for a covered accidental bodily injury that directly causes dismemberment (examples: loss of a hand, foot, 或眼睛).

Benefited 员工 are eligible for coverage in the Life and AD&D计划在第一天 day of the month following their start date, assuming timely submission of enrollment 通过 员工导航器.

Long-Term Disability 保险

State Disability Unemployment 保险 (SDI)

This State mandated program, which is funded by taxes, covers all 研究基金会 员工. It provides coverage against loss of wages for an employee sustaining a non-work-related injury or illness that prevents the employee from performing his or her regular or customary work. Please note that employee-paid SDI taxes are reimbursed to the employee by the 研究基金会.

带薪探亲假 is unemployment compensation disability insurance of up to six weeks that is paid to individuals who take time off of work to care for a seriously ill child, spouse, parent, or registered domestic partner; to bond with a new child, or to care for a seriously ill parent-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, or sibling.
